All the experts are experts on what was. There is no expert on what will be. To be an 'expert' on the future, vision must replace experience - David Ben-Gurion

The Heart, the Womb of Creation

Here’s what Jesus said, “. . . whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Okay, here’s what Jesus did not say, “. . . whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he said will be done, he will have whatever he said.”

This distinction is important because our words are tools for creation. You cannot say to your child, “You’re never going to make it,” and then turn round to confess, “I’m healed by the stripes of Jesus,” expecting only one set of words to come to pass.

But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.1

Idle words do not carry the force of what we believe. Like David, we must believe and speak.2 If you speak idle words regularly, you will not value your words or believe in the power of words. When we really embrace the God-life we recognize that our words are tools to express what we believe and release power that changes our experience of life.

Your heart is the ‘womb’ of creation. It determines what happens in your life.3 All creation begins with sight and true sight begins in the heart of man. The Bible calls the union of your soul and spirit your heart. Psychologists refer to it as the subconscious.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.4

Your soul comprises your mind, will, and emotions while your mind consists of your memory, intellect, and imagination. Your imagination and memory are important because the components of your soul must be in congruence with your spirit for faith to be produced. If there is an internal conflict, you cannot create, irrespective of what you say. Our hearts can work for or against us.

We impose restrictions on our lives subconsciously. If a parent or someone we trust tells us we won’t amount to anything and we accept it, we will see ourselves as underachievers. Whatever we receive as true and allow to be imprinted in our heart as a picture imposes a restriction on our heart.

God will not override your heart or his law of creation, which states that whatever you believe in your heart is what you will create in your life. That’s why he has given us exceedingly great and precious promises to see the truth and recalibrate our hearts.5

The dominant picture in your mind reveals your beliefs and the condition of your heart. If all you see is the mountain you are waiting for God to remove, then that mountain will never be removed because it is your faith, which comes from your heart, that will move the mountain.

Do you need heart surgery? Find God’s promise. Feed your mind with truth and engage your imagination to build a new picture. This will bring your heart into alignment with truth. Then speak that truth and create your world.
